Le Papagayo Carlsbad

Testimonials

"Came here on a Monday afternoon for lunch with my mom and we were seated right away! There was a tonof indoor, outdoor, and bar seating available. The bar seating is perfect if you are trying to watch a game. Our server was very polite and the food came out pretty quickly. Overall, this is a great spot for boozy breakfast, casual lunch, or a nicer dinner! I will definitely come back to grab some drinks and try other menu items."

"We sat in the outdoor patio which was cute with bistro lights. Listening to the live music was nice. The drinks were very good. And the food was delicious! Would come back again! There was a lot of food I wanted to try but I was queasy from some earlier activities. So I ate the crab cake salad and lobster bisque, both of which were very good."

"Brought my inlaws to Le Papa while they were in town and had Sidney as our server. She was amazing and the food is always on point. The inlaws can be challenging but they loved her and the atmosphere. Good reggae music and great people watching."

"I can't believe I haven't reviewed them yet. Shame on me. We have been coming to Le Papagayo at least once a month since they opened this location. Whether we come for lunch or dinner, two of us or with a larger group - they never disappoint. Food is always consistently good. They have many choices for all different tastes. Service is friendly as well as efficient. Their live music is usually quite enjoyable. Prices are very reasonable compare to similar restaurants in the area. A tip for Sangria lovers - their Sangria rocks! It hasfrozen fruit instead of ice & has a perfect amount of sweetness without being too sweet."

"Had a great experience here. Service was awesome and the food was very tasty. They have a good selection of beer with some local options of draft. To start my hubby and I had the chicken wings. The sauce was a Frank's hot sauce and it was not too spicy. And the wings were huge with quite a bit of meat. Then we shared the rueben. It was one of the best. Lots of meat, and the sauerkraut was very tender, although it could use more. So good!! Highly recommend this place."

"Great place and great food, went with my family of varying ages and tastes and all enjoyed the food. Everything we had was really good, the restaurant is also in a great area short distance from the beach and other shops, in Carlsbad."

"Fabulous place for brunch! A group of us went on the weekend for brunch and to celebrate a friend's birthday. They have a great outdoor shaded patio and the hostess was very nice about accommodating our outdoor request. They do a bottomless mimosa for about $20 and do a good job at keeping the drinks flowing. The food was also excellent and I wish I could have eaten more. I got the Eggs Benedict which was very flavorful and filling. The little potato cakes that came with it too were also good."

"We reserved the back room (located inside behind the hostess). Manny was very accommodating with planning the individual menu for our party. The service was amazing. The food was very good and they brought out the food in a timely manner. They did not disappoint with helping us feel at home while hosting our birthday dinner."

"Came here for Football Sunday with friends. I loved how they had all the TVs labeled with the game and the time. This made for an easy seating selection! We got a perfect view of our teams game! Ordered some food and drinks. Service was 10/10. Servers were attentive and knowledgeable. Made some good recommendations. I would recommend the Benedict cause of the ham! I loved how thick it was!"
